The 2008 Jackson County Fair will have a designated smoking area!

TEENS TRAVELED TO WASHINGTON DC 2008

Five Teens from Southern Oregon attended a national conference with ove r 3,000 attendees. One of the messages they are bringing back to Southern Oregon is the need for PARENTS to pay attention. Prescription Drugs is on the rise, Underage drinking is at a all time high in Jackson County. We need to stand up for our youth!

Lottery Scratch Tickets sales to minors

Teens did reward and reminder visits to area merchants. Sixteen retailers were visited in the Medford and Central Point area 3 attempted to sell to minors were made.

Four local High School Students will attend a national conference in Washington DC

DJ Tim Poppa did a fantastic job giving a group of high school the sounds they wanted to hear. He kept the sounds going and give a count down to 2008. The ballons dropped and the dancing continued.

Two spilt the dance contest winnings!

Lamar and Darren were dancing to the music for the $50 prize. In the end the audience was divided and the two decided to split the winnings. Each left with $25 and a lot of cheering. Wow they are really good and entertaining, I wish I could do that. Were a few of the remarks from students

New Year's Eve Party A Big Success!

SODA Teens New Year's Eve Party was attend by nearly 400 Jackson County High School Students. It was a lot of fun, I had a blast are a few of the comments heard by local teens.
